Fons Verspaandonk studied at the Brabant Conservatory with Herman Jeurissen, where he graduated cum laude in 1997.
Since January 2004, Fons has been a horn player in the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and also a senior lecturer at the Fontys University of Applied Sciences in Tilburg.
From 1995 to 1998 he was a member of the Brabants Orkest, after which he played as second horn player with the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra.
In addition, Fons Verspaandonk regularly collaborates with leading chamber music ensembles such as Combattimento Consort Amsterdam.
